The Beyond Blanket is a premium weighted blanket that is designed to soothe your nervous system primarily through Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation, providing you relief from anxiety and stress during the day and helping to improve your sleep quality at night.
What is Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation?
Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation is a method often used by occupational therapists in cases of chronic anxiety and stress. Pressure Stimulation works off the effect of firm but gentle pressure on the human body. This substitutes the “fight or flight” sympathetic nervous system for the “rest and digest” parasympathetic nervous system. In simple terms, a weighted blanket like the Beyond Blanket utilizes pressure to produce a calming effect in the nervous system.
How does the Beyond Blanket aid in easing anxiety and stress?
Our Beyond Blanket is designed with the aim of easing anxiety and stress. Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation also initiates the decrease of cortisol, the stress hormone, and the release of dopamine and serotonin, feel-good chemicals. This means that this blanket is more than just a bedmate, it's also a natural and holistic way to find relief from stress and anxiety on the daily.
What size should I get?
Our blankets come in Full-sized (72x48)and Queen-sized (60x80) variants. Choosing a blanket size is as easy as matching your bed size!

What weight should I get?
The Full size Beyond Blanket is available in 10lbs, 12lbs, or 15lbs variants. The Queen size is available at 15lbs or 20lbs. Ideally, your weighted blanket should be roughly 10% of your body weight. We recommend:

Why does the Beyond Blanket come in differing weights?
The differences in weight are due to their differences in size. Since the Queen size is larger, it requires more weight to be evenly distributed throughout the entire blanket and may be used by more than 1 person. The Full size is ideal for single-person use.
How do I wash my blanket/cover?
The inner weighted layer of the Beyond Blanket is to be hand washed only. The Cloud/Breeze Covers may be machine or hand washed. Please do not dry clean, iron, or bleach your blanket or cover.
